Stockholm – First European Green Capital

Stockholm has been appointed the first European Green Capital by the European Commission. The city will be carrying the title throughout 2010.

Many years of effort led to the award – effort that has made Stockholm a sustainable, growing metropolis. A commitment to long-term goals has also played a crucial part in the nomination.
