Recharge your batteries with brunch
Have a late night? Or just a well-deserved sleep in? Weekends are perfect for brunch. Quite a few restaurants, hotels and even museums serve wonderful buffets. Here are some tips to get you back on your feet – read more about each venue under “Editor's tip” further down!
Fåfängan – Not just a fantastic view…. the weekend brunch buffet is Fåfängan’s trump card. A sumptuous array of dishes and snacks, something for everyone. Gluten-free and lots of salmon.
Nordic Light Hotel – Design hotel just a stone throw away from Central Station. An appetizing all-American buffet with mini hamburgers, ribs and smoothies (Brunch is served on Sundays).
Moderna Museet – Well-made delicacies are served in a separate section of the museum restaurant. Typically Swedish fare with a twist.
Berns – Asian-style gourmet buffet with a good reputation. Lots of sushi, sashimi and other great dishes.
Hornstull Strand – Party all night long at the club, come back the next day for brunch. The kitchen serves international cuisine and a scrumptious waffle buffet. Slightly lower prices.
Café Sirap – Cheap and hearty American food. Bacon and eggs, and best of all – pancakes. Can get crowded on the weekend.
Brunch is mainly served on Saturdays and Sundays. Most venues on this list have two sittings (around 11 am and 2 pm) and bookings are usually required. Find out what applies in advance and book early. Menus may vary.
